National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences, popularly known as NIMHANS is an autonomous university located in Bangalore, Karnataka was established in 1974. NIMHANS was declared as an “Institute of National Importance” by the Government of India in 2012. The institute was conferred ‘Deemed to be University’ status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 1994. NIMHANS offers various courses at Undergraduate, Diploma, Postgraduate, Master's Degree, Super Specialty Medical, Fellowship, PhD, and Post-Doctoral Fellowship levels. Admission to all the programs is based on merit in their respective entrance examinations. Whereas, The Oxford College of Nursing is a reputed institute for B.Sc., B.Sc. (Post Basic), M.Sc., GNM. Students can opt these programs to pursue a career in Nursing. The Institute has trained & experienced faculty who deliver these programs. However, the total tuition fees of both the institutions differ from each other in terms of their courses.
