As per the guidelines followed by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) under the RS4 scheme, students enrolled in PG MD programs are typically allowed three regular attempts to clear their university examinations. These attempts are spread across the duration of the course, which is usually three years, and include both theory and practical components. If a student fails to pass within these regular attempts, they may be eligible for mercy attempts, which are granted under special circumstances and subject to university approval. The RS4 scheme is structured to ensure academic progression while maintaining rigorous standards. Each attempt is scheduled as per the university's examination calendar, and students must meet attendance and internal assessment requirements to be eligible. It's important to note that repeater fees may apply for supplementary exams, and students must submit their dissertations within the stipulated timeline to qualify for final exams. For the most accurate and updated information, students should refer to the RGUHS Examination Section or consult their college's academic coordinator. Let me know if you'd like help understanding the mercy attempt criteria or preparing a timeline for your exams.
