In NIT Surat, the cost of the tuition fee of the BTech programme is INR 5 lakh. Nevertheless, the university realizes the fact that learning expenses can be an inconvenience to a number of students and their families. Consequently, they grant scholarships to the needy students to assist them in the financial component of their studies. These scholarships differ on diverse factors which include academic performance, financial need, and community service. Certain types of scholarship are also provided based on students under some categories which include Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.

SVNIT Surat offers BTech in six specialisations: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Institute also offers B.Tech. students to opt for Minor Degree in all the above disciplines of their choice based on CGPA at the end of B.Tech. first year.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech at SVNIT must take the GATE exam and clear it. The GATE admission process starts with the filling of the application form for the seat allotment after counselling.Step 1: Fill out GATE 2023 Application Form: The first step is to fill out the application form. Candidates who are aspiring for the exam, have to register themselves on the GOAPS website. The application process has been concluded by IIT Kanpur. Eligible candidates were required to visit the official website to fill GATE 2023 Application Form through the GOAPS portal.
