Yes, the faculty at Shankarrao Chavan Law College consists of well-qualified and experienced faculty members. The professors are experts in constitutional law, criminal law, corporate law, human rights, and all the other broad areas of law. Many of them have higher degrees, especially in the academic field along with practical experience in the legal profession. They bring theoretical and real-world knowledge in the classrooms which are an added learning experience to the students. The college is dedicated to providing a strong academic environment. Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune, is a center for wide varied extracurricular activities and clubs to enable the students to expand beyond the learning curves to have practical legal skills. The college is also constituted with a Moot Court Association, where the students get to practice courtroom procedures and hone up the advocacy skills through moot court competitions. SCLC also has a Legal Aid Clinic in which to provide free legal aid to underserved communities, thus offering students opportunities for direct contact with real clients and cases.The college also runs workshops and certificate courses in debating skills, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, public health law, among others, thereby broadening the expertise of students across different legal areas and related disciplines. SCLC runs a series of conferences and seminars that, in most cases, focus on relevant issues in the law and social world-from women's empowerment in the construction industry or public policy topics, these meet current socio-legal dialogues for the students.The different international and national events which the college engages with are, for example, a student exchange programme in Mauritius, offering students a global perspective. Getting admission into Shankarrao Chavan Law College (SCLC) can be competitive, mainly due to the following reasons:Entrance Test Requirement: Admission to the LL.B. and other law courses is based upon merit supplied by MH CET Law entrance test taken by all candidates. The admission cut-off rank is normally high, an indicator of a highly competitive class of applicants.Eligibility Criteria: Applicant should have a pass in the minimum of 45 percent marks in bachelor's degree or 10+2 for integrated courses respectively. The minimum marks will be considered if it is below for the reserved category. Thus, only the students who are qualified enough academically will be taken into consideration.
