It will be difficult to get admission in SGSITS with this rank, but if you really want to get into it, you can apply for college level counselling round.

To get into the top most engineering college for a good branch, you should have a score around 240 and above if you are a general student. Else, it will be a bit less. Read NCERT books, this will help you a lot.

Yes, you can. But, you have to go for the counselling procedure which is held last. There is a category to apply on the basis of board marks. You can apply for that round.

Cut off in AIR doesn't really get affected much but you can always wait for last round of counselling. It may go down if students leave the college after first round.

Yes, there is an intake process of lateral entry in the month of July to August when you can apply for Diploma entry. You can get updates for this by regularly visiting the website of SGSITS.

SGSITS has a better position than DAVV but the quality of students in both the colleges are more or less the same. Placements provided by SGSITS are a bit better but it is better to take better branch at DAVV rather taking any low branch in SG

Closing rank for SGSITS is near to 40000, if you are willing to get some nice branch for general category students. You can also check the cutoff marks for each Branch in the last year counselling report.
