Here are some pros and cons of Social Sciences Centre (M. S. W. ) Bharati Vidyapeeth: Pros: 1. Qualified cadre of faculty members with specialisation in social work 2. They include curriculum content that will avail both theoretical and practical information. 3. Forefront of available research agendas and emphasis on Social work research 4. Proper companies, well-conducted field trips and effective internships and projects. 5. More so, reputable and recognition in the field of social work 6. Presence of alumni council in matters concerning career development. 7. Well-established infrastructure and resources 8. Sited in a cosmopolitan and a pulsating city (Pune) Cons: 1. Few choices of specialisation or elective subjects offered in the MSW programme 2. The major disadvantage of this institution is that it is relatively expensive as compared to other institutions offering similar programs. 3. Few scholarships available for students 4. Bureaucratic administrative processes 5. Little or no worldwide experience or partnership. 6. Some students don’t like the fact that the contents are packaged in a theoretical manner, or that they are learning contents that seem ancient. 7. Lack of accommodation of students with disabilities or special needs 8. Field observation showed that problems ranging from parking to transport were evident on the campus. It is also important to mention that these points are more or less generalized and could have variations differing from one person to the other. One must therefore take time and try to visit the institution to possibly have a raw experience of the advantages and disadvantages.

Voluntary non-governmental organisations and social welfare organisations 2. Government agencies and departments 3. Healthcare and hospitals 4. Education and research institutions 5. CSR departments which refer to divisions in organizations that are charged with the responsibility to address societal issues and manage Corporate social investment (CSI) According to the institute, it is able to find placements for its students at about 70-80% of the times. But the quality and, in particular, the salary of placements may differ. Indeed, direct admission will be possible in some courses offered at the Social Sciences Centre (M.S.W.) of Bharati Vidyapeeth. However, it is course-dependent as well as eligibility dependent. In fact if someone meets the eligibility criteria such as having a degree from any approved university, it is possible to apply for some PG Diploma programs directly. For other programms like MSW or any other major required candidates may have to appear for an entrance test or possess a national level examination scorecard such as NET score card. In addition to that, there are programs with management quota where you can gain direct entry but usually have a significantly higher fee structure. The best thing is to contact the center in order to get up-to-date information regarding their procedure of granting admission by this mode and current situation about its availability.
