The majority of Indian business schools will require general category candidates to hold a minimum of 50% in their graduation degree, but students from reserved category may be provided with some level of concession. As such, having 44% makes eligibility for mainstream universities virtually impossible. Furthermore, taking the entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, CMAT are usually part of the application process. On a positive note, however, there may be many private colleges or colleges offering distance learning that may accept you with lower percentage scores and/or provide you with direct admission based strictly on interview performance. If you are committed to studying for an MBA in Finance, consider taking diploma or PGDM study programs and use your skills and certifications to create a stronger candidate profile, and consider colleges that are more skill- and experience-oriented rather than putting a great deal of stock in cut-off scores.
