It's not true that CS professionals are treated as just degree holders. Just know that, once you finish the course in India, you have to wait for 2-years after practicing as a CS and you should apply for other memberships in which country you want to work. If you want to go with your Indian CS alone, there won't be many opportunities to work for an MNC to be a part of a different country's head.
The sane goes to CA's, even they have the same concept to work abroad.
Since CS is law based, there is a definite need to study the other country's law before working there. So it needs a membership. CA also requires knowing the different s... View more

There are no coaching institutes of CS after 10th.
The Company Secretary course cannot be pursued just after 10th. The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for the course is +2, from a recognized board of studies.
The course is divided into three stages:
Foundation Program
Executive Program
Professional Program
Candidates who have passed +2 level of examination have to enroll for the Foundation program which is followed by the Executive and the Professional program.
Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in any stream, except fine arts, can enroll directly for the Executive Program.

Both the options are good. However, CS is better as - Every listed company and every other public company having paid-up share capital of Rs. 10 crores or more have to appoint the Company Secretary in whole-time employment. It is a statutory designation. I hope this would suffice. All the best. God bless you.

It was the last day of filing the entrance form and we were standing on the window to deposit the same. Before handing over the form to the CS official, my father confirmed from me for a last time that do I really want to do it. I nodded yes and trust me I never regretted that nod. Dear Ravi,
Congratulations on making a wise decision of pursuing Company Secretary as a professional qualification.
After you enroll with ICSI, you will receive study material for the examination. If you do regular and disciplined self-study from the study material while using standard reference books for practice, you will have enough content to pass the exams.
However, certain subjects require conceptual clarity and depending on your personal learning style you might require tuition or coaching. ICSI offers a few contact classes for the same. You can also join a subject wise tuition class available in all cities of India.
