CS is a very good option. CS has become very lucrative and remunerative and with the implementation of the companies act 2013. The scope has widened for a company secretary as a professional. A company secretary can do practice, or get appointed as a key managerial person. A company secretary is also known as compliance manager as he/she is the one with an overall and all round knowledge of various laws applicable in the industries. The salary package depends on your skills, knowledge and practical exposure and further increments depend on your skills and the organisation where you are working.

The company secretary course conducted by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has three sections -Foundation, Executive, and Professional. The minimum eligibility required for the Foundation course for Company Secretary is 10+2 or an equivalent examination.

<p>CMA or Certified Management Accountant has been divided into three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, Final. If you are appearing for CMA foundation, you will have to appear for 4 exams in 2 shifts. Candidates who have cleared CMA foundation will be allowed to appear for CMA intermediate. CMA intermediate has 4 exams each in 2 shifts. You can choose to appear for 1 shift exam or both shift exams. Candidates who have cleared CMA intermediate and have training proof will be allowed to appear for CMA final. CMA final has 8 exams each in 2 shifts. It has 20 exams in total. You can join any coaching institute for better guidance.</p>

Hi. Yes you can do the company secretary job now. For that you need to get yourself enrolled with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and clear all the levels so as to get the degree. You can get direct admission to the executive level I. e level 2, assuming that you already have your graduation completed. All the best!

There's no such place thing. It's a pan India course conducted by ICSI which has its branches across the country. You can prepare anywhere as the institute provides you with the required books and material. However of you require coaching too, with the internet coming into play, you can get classes of almost all teachers at your home itself. So, there's no need to be exact about best place.

I infer that you have cleared all other papers of executive level apart from this.
Don't be in a dilemma and believe in yourself.
I can understand how it feels but restores your energy, get your motivation back and start preparing.

1st Step: Pass 10+2 and then register with the Board of Studies (BOS). Do registration by December 31 for CA Foundation May Session and by June 30 for the November session. 3rd Step: Apply for CA Foundation as per the schedule. 4th Step: Appear for the Foundation examination in November/ May.

CA involves study of diverse subjects ranging from Accounts to Law to Taxation to Financial Management. CS is primarily concentrated on Law. Though other subjects like Accounts & Taxation are part of CS curriculum they are not covered in depth. CS is relatively easier in the sense it is more flexible. In CS if you score above 60 marks in a subject you need not write that subject again for lifetime however in CA this exemption is restricted to 3 attempts or 1.5 years.
