Both the exams are suitable for doing MS abroad, TOEFL is basically an English exam which requires very little practice and can be cleared easily. GRE requires a good amount of practice and there are different sections that you need to clear. However, if you are stuck and feel that it will difficult for you to clear any of the exams then there is nothing to worry about. For a distance course MSc(IT) degree, you have options like IGNOU, Universiry of Madras, Birla Institute of Technology, etc. These are Govt. colleges which only provides books for learning and an e-portal.
However I would suggest you to check Sikkim Manipal University (if you do not have any financial constraints) as it is one of best option in terms of placements, visibility, and newly developed learning methods:

Well, there a lot of things you need to keep in mind like the subject, your budget since MS outside india is very expensive, also language proficiency exams like IELTS/TOEFL is required also your GRE (Graduate record Exam) score should be above 320 if you want to get good college, plus you need apply at least 11-12 months before you graduate.

All candidates are eligible who have completed graduation in (physics/ biology/ chemistry/zoology/ botany/ biochemistry/ microbiology /forensic /applied medical sciences / biotechnology) /engineering /pharmacy /medicine /BDS. The percentage in last qualifying exam (graduation) is required for admission in M.Sc. It may vary from university to university (50-60%).
