Lecturer, NUS,

Visit university websites and decide the country of your choice first. For admissions into Ph.D you must check the department website and write to them for research availability, admission calls, funding and scholarship options etc. Develop research questions and prepare a research topic, you must share your ideas with the universities to be accepted. They will offer you a place if they like what you wrote. You must also check for additional requirements such as GRE, TOEFL and so on.

Hi Jaspal,
Both the countries are good. For admissions purpose, Canada is more selective but less affordable. if you have average grades then Australia would be a better option. You may check university-specific requirements and the budget and shortlist the country accordingly.

Hi Shubham,
You must hold a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Since German universities are so competitive you must have very high academic grades. GRE or GATE is not mandatory but you can choose to take the tests. As an international student you must also take TOEFL or IELTS. German language knowledge will definitely help. You may refer DAAD website for more information. Hope this helps.

Admission decisions are taken by the university, so we cannot really say anything, but you have a good chance. Letters of reference and personal statement will be very important. Dear Adil,
I do not know anything about Poland as I do not deal with this country. Australia is a good place as far as lifestyle, quality of education and employment for mechanical engineers at present. The other choice if you have scores above 75% is Germany as the cost will be very low or even free if you get a scholarship.
All the best!
