Hi, As per my personal experience and the past year trend analysis, if your score is 130-140 in CLAT exam then your rank will surely be under 300. Also, in the allocation of ranks, one factor plays a very important role I. e. The level of difficulty of the paper. If the difficulty is less then 130-140 is above average but on the other hand, it's a good score if the level of difficulty of paper is tough.

Arun Sharma would be a good start to go for prep. Quant, Also Sarvesh Verma.
Wren and Martin for Vocab/English.
Arun Sharma for DI/LR.
Then start solving concept builders. Then give as many mocks as you can.
By the end of your graduation, you must be thoroughly prepared.

I am sharing someone else experience. I am quoting him. I graduated now from IIM B. I prepared for CAT while I was working. I used to leave from home by 9.30 - 10 times in morning and be back in home by 9 - 10 after dinner from work. Some days, I had to stay in office late. My work comes under the category of hectic ( mentally, not physically ). This is what I did for the written CAT exam. Spend one hour every day in the morning, going through the chapters (Apti, DI, LR). I had materials, and I went chapter by chapter some day and random questions some day. Ensured I solved 20 problems in the beginning and as I progressed the speed increas... View more

The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs based on a policy of rotation. In August 2011, it was announced that Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) would also use the CAT scores, instead of the Joint Man... View more

Hi Ayushi!
Quants is a subject would ask you for your patience and hardwork. The only and the best way to prepare is to practice as much as you can. Try solving past papers and also give number of online mock test. Google out shortcuts for certain chapters. I would say along with hard work you would need to work smartly. Try figuring out which chapters has the highest weightage and focus more on the same and practice more sums. Practicing more and more would not only help you increase your speed but also would help you to boost your confidence along with it.
