As physics and mathematics are important for doing engineering in marine, as you said you want to do it after 12th, you will not get a higher post on deck. My suggestion is to join any merchant navy school as they will teach you for 6 months and then make you to go on training.
You have following options :
(a) M.Tech in area of your interest if you are technically inclined.
(b) MBA from a reputed Business School if you want to make career as a generalist or manager.
(c) Certifications relivabt to your branch of engineering.
(d) You can work and gain few years experience before going for MBA. This option will give you maximum career benifits.

you should complete your 12th with a good marks and knowledge. and commerce is a vied field and also a higher package. but you need to work hard and think about which field you are more interested. if you do complete your qualifications from commerce then you can do these courses. CA , CS , B.Com + MBA ,CFA.
To be commercial pilot in India, one should have a flying experience of 250 hours while in case of developed countries, the situation is not so. In countries like Europe, to have a basic licence experience, one have a flying experience of 750 hours. In foreign countries, the package is double to India. Sometimes, the pay is thrice or 4 times than India. On the other hand, these countries also made available lucrative avenues for the pilots.
