If you have done UG in English Hons. So, it s much easier for you. But you will have to be very attentive to the previous year entrance questions. The first section is poetry. And you have to analyze its name themes etc. So, it's better that you grab the marks in rhyme scheme, meter, rhetorical tool (simile metaphor etc. ). The other section is include theory answer in which you have to attempt 2 answer but they are time bombs literally. So read novels as much as you can and go through to the history of EL. I recommend Routledge that cover all the topic very briefly and don't forget literary theories as in feminism, post modernism, moderni... View more

If one choice from the above places- Go for Ranchi-
Coaching preference- While T.I.M.E without doubt has more number of students enrolled in the country yet there are so many regions where it has to grow and create proper infrastructure and hire experience teacher.
T.I.M.E is more popular in South India while in places like Delhi, Jharkhand, Career launcher takes the cake.
T.I.M.E at Ranchi is relatively a fledgling in comparison to Career Launcher. From what I know, very few students are enrolled in it giving you ... View more

Dear student,
There isn't anything like the best coaching classes. So if you really want to make it, prefer self-study. It is the best option for CA exams. It will save a lot of time as well as save you from getting distracted to other things. So go for it. Make a plan and start studying. In any case of doubts, feel free to revert back. I will try my best to solve them. All the best.

Hi,
1- English
Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis for improving vocabulary- trust me this book is more than enough for vocabulary further this will also improve your grammar and reading. Tata McGraw-Hill (check CLAT on the cover page don't buy the CAT one) This book is important and highly recommended for 3 reasons (1) It is brief, concise, comprehensive and doable (2) CLAT is written on its cover so anyone making the paper for the first time will definitely give questions from this book. (3) It mostly consists of the tricky questions from RS Agrawal which is the third book I would like to recommend. It is important to remember ... View more
Dear Gargi Verma,
You can go MBAGURU or ALCHEMIST. Both are good. But I would suggest you to do classroom preparation from MBAGURU and also an online test series from TIME. This will surely maximize your chance of success in entrance. Apply your full strength. Management of time. Your academic qualifications is very much necessary, because only CAT or MAT will not go to IIMs, but your academic qualifications and your personal skills will matter too. So try to maintain all these.
Best of luck.

Here are few revision tips that can indeed help students notch up success in the examination:
1. Revise at least twice before exam:
Map out your studies in a way so that adequate time is left for revision. It is equally important that no topic should be skipped while revising. Revise everything.
2. Basics have to be strong:
Having a strong command over the basics is better than just knowing the entire subject. Numerous questions are asked from subjects like current affairs, Indian history, Geography, Indian Polity, Ecology, Biodiversity and Environment, hence they should be prepared in detail.
3. Solve mock test papers:... View more

Hi Sandy,
If I'm talking about coaching classes for CAT, I would like to suggest you about T.I.M.E., Endeavour, Career Launcher and many more which provide you offline as well as online coaching classes.
The strategy in last 5 months of your preparation:
You should target to complete 80-90% syllabus.
Solve previous year question and give mock tests.
And improve most scoring chapters as well as give equal weightage of every subject.
Hello Bantu
For mathematics, practice is very important. And for that, you need to have a strong base and the formulae on your fingertips. For that, NCERT books would be useful at the early stage. Then, you may prefer the Arihant series for practice which would contain the questions of JEE standard. Tata Mcgraw Hill is another useful book which is preferred for many competitive exams. Using these books, you can perform well in the math section of JEE. All the best.
