JIS University is a good place to study but if you can get better college, take admission there. JIS University is not as good as it was few years before. So, I think you should visit the campus and have a chat with currently enrolled students.

Doing B.Tech after diploma is a spark and will enhance your knowledge and profile.

There is only minor difference in both CE AND CS. CE has more emphasis on Hardware and computer architecture where CS has more emphasis on Software systems including enterprise applications.

Last year the closing rank was 1.1k (approximately) . I don't think you will get CSE by any chance. If you want you can try via management quota.

RVCE, Bangalore is very good for CSE Branch as the placements are upto INR. 40-45 Lacs per annum and also faculty members are good. Hope you got your answer.

You can get CSE in Sardar Patel college/College of Engineering, Pune/etc. All the colleges give state students’ preference but that doesn't mean you can't get a seat.

India being an IT hub have more scope for the computers branch.
