Start reading a newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do a proper analysis of articles on the editorial page. Try to make a summary of articles that you read para by para. But reading a newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis.

Yes, one can appear for an entrance exam in spite of having backlogs. However, those backlogs have to be cleared before taking admission in the particular B-school (in case you get final shortlisted). Generally, there is a deadline specified by a B-school for submitting the pending results and other documents.

After the MBA entrance exams are over, one should focus on preparing for the interview rounds held by the various B-schools. You would be called to attend them, if you have the necessary cutoffs and eligibility criertia. On clearing these rounds, you will finally get admission into the particular B-school(s).

Calculators are not allowed to be carried inside the exam hall. However, you are provided with basic onscreen calculator. The level of questions is not set hard from calculation point of view. If you know the strategy to solve the question, you will be able to solve without using the calculator faster rather than using the calculator and spend a few minutes extra unnecessarily.

CAT test for candidates quantitative, verbal/ reading, data interpretation and reasoning skills. The paper has 100 MCQ and Non- MCQ questions that are to be completed in 3 hours. As per the analysis Data interpretation and logical reasoning is expected to be the toughest, Verbal ability and reading comprehension to be moderate and quantitative ability should be the easiest. There will be 34 questions in verbal ability and reading comprehension, 32 questions in data interpretation and logical reasoning and 34 questions in quantitative ability.
