Plastic Mould Design Engineer,

Physical eligibility should not limit you to pursue your desired engineering branch because you don't necessarily have to be physically fit to pursue most of the courses. Civil could be an exception as it requires you to do the field visit. But all other branches offer the option to work comfortably. For example, Mechanical Engineers design machineries and parts on PC and don't need to be physically involved.

Amrita is better than VIT. Amrita is ranked 4th in India by NIRF and also Amrita is included in global ranking, Amrita is very strict and also syllabus is difficult compared to VIT, both vit and Amrita have 90% + placement. In my opinion Amrita will be the best choice if you are ready to put little hardwork, because placement is amazing, Amrita alumni chapter abroad is so strong and also much better than VIT, from my experience I definitely recommend Amrita, major recruiters include ( SAP labs, cisco, google, amazon, netapp, salesforce, etc. Almost 100 % placement happened last year in Amrita).

#ReadyToHelp,

Hi, Honestly, according to the graph analysis of degree background related to IAS qualifiers, its a highly heterogeneous data, Degree in any stream hardly matters when it comes to pursuing IAS exam but yes if you wish to lower your burden to some 20% you may go for B.A. As that will help you make a basic interest and foundation to read subjects related to IAS exam in vast. But personally, IAS exam is not degree or stream or merit oriented; the pure mantra is long sitting hours, long reading hours and the retaining power!
Any degree in any stream is anyhow going to help you for optional subject choice while in IAS Mains exam. Good Luck!

Ranking: LPU has been ranked 78th amongst all government and private universities by NIRF ranking released by MHRD, Government of India. Faculty- The university has the best teachers who are very supportive of the overall growth of the students. They are approachable and easily cater to any doubts that the students might have. Yes, no wonder IB students get the same level of opportunities that PGDM general students get be, in terms of placement opportunities or course curriculum, IB is no less than the general course. Also, you get a chance to do dual specialization with a major in either marketing or finance with a minor specialization in international business.
