The ideal time to start preparing for MBA entrance exams is 6-12 months before the exam date, with a minimum of six months recommended for most aspirants. Starting in March-April is a good idea for exams like CAT, which typically take place in November, to allow ample time for concept building, practice, and mock tests. Early preparation provides a flexible, relaxed pace and reduces stress, while a shorter, focused plan of 4-6 months can still yield great results for those with a strong foundation.
