Both the branches are related to the software engineering. If any software company visits any college for campus placement it mostly allows both the branches. But if you are asking then CSE is a better option as per the job prospects.

Yes, First of all get your ews Certificate and apply for JEE Advanced under EWS category
In IITs there are nearly 500 seats for EWS category and those are also in old IITs so try to improve your rank in advanced
And for the 40 to 45000 rank (general) you can join NIT for chemical, biotech, and metallurgical engineering
And those branches are also very good
One more thing after joining to NIT for lower branch you can change your branch by scoring well in first year of B.Tech. So there are very much chances for you to be NITian.

College selection expert,

Everything seems easy if you have interest and determination to work hard, engineering is not as easy as it sounds you need to work very hard and maintain good overall GPA to get placed, but if you want to take one branch out of it then CSE will be best considering your requirements.

Therefore, CSE students are assessed as better then other and are most often accepted and preferred branch by Indian IT industry. There is no such cutoff for specific branches in ITER. They take admission till the seats are filled. If your rank is within the range 1 to 1000 you can easily get into the branch you choose. And if you do not get into your branch you can easily change your branch after the first semester and the only criteria is you have to score equal or above 8.5 sgpa. Hope it answered your question. ALL THE BEST!

Government colleges like IITs, NITs, are excellent for CS and also have comparatively low fees. You can also try for DTU, Jamia Milia, or state level colleges, like under AKTU, MHT CET. Also, scoring good marks in JEE Mains, can low down your fees in state level colleges.

Hello Nithish,
After your 12th board examinations are over, you need to appear for various entrance examinations.
I would suggest you to appear for IIT JEE and AIEEE. These two entrance examinations provide admissions to IITs/ NITs and other government colleges, which are cost-effective.
I would also suggest you to appear for individual state examinations (OJEE in Odisha, EAMCET in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, COMEDK in Karnataka, etc.). These exams also guarantee you good colleges and serve as a backup in case things don't end up the way you've planned for IIT/ AIEEE.
Every state has its own share of good engineering colleges... View more

Hi Margish,
50% is a very poor score. I doubt if admission will be possible without an extraordinary element in your profile. Also, you must take SAT exam. If you score very well in SAT exam only then chances of admission could be possible. Go for Diploma courses in Australia or New Zealand before applying for a Bachelor's degree abroad let alone in the US.

You have got only 85 marks out of possible 360. What went wrong? Can you do analysis? Failure is foundation of success. If you over come defects and study with full vigour, you may clear JEE Mains next year with 200+ marks.
This year there is no chance.
