Because both, computer engineers and computer scientists ultimately work with data and attempt ultimately to harness the meaning from it, there is significant overlap in coursework that students in the two fields take, as well as in the careers they pursue which depends on your intere... View more

Hello Vishal,
While CSE, equally covers both hardware and software aspects. IT and software engineering has a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch.
Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc., this little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. Most of the jobs offered is in the software domain.
There is no need to compare the little differences between the branches. You can get admission in a decent college in any of these branches. You should keep a percentage of o... View more

It purely depends on your interest. You may choose any one of the branch from either Computer Science or Electronics. If you choose Electronics, you can have opportunities in BHEL, HALL, NTPC, etc. and also you may be eligible for campus placements like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, CTS, Syntel, etc.

As far as my knowledge for getting a course like CSE you need to have rank below 10,000 in JEE Mains for a government college. So I am sorry you might not get CSE. Also your class 12 th percentage should be above 85 should to get a course like CSE that too in a government college. Hope your query is resolved.

Hi,
Both the fields are good. But, I would suggest you reconsidering about aeronautical engineering as India don’t provide much career opportunities in aeronautics. Bangalore is famous for its aviation industry, yet I personally suggest you to complete Bachelors in core branch like for computer or mechanical and then later on you can specialise in aeronautics, aerodynamics or computer science, cyber security, etc. Just try to keep as much as possible options open for you.
