Syllabus between CSE and IT is 80 to 90% common in different universities. CSE provides emphasis on the Computational Science theory and IT on computer applications. CSE graduates are employed in both System and Applications software development. IT graduates are hired for Application software development. CSE graduates are preferred graduates by Indian IT industry because CSE gets better rank students during engineering entrance exam.

Standard degree in the field of Computer Science is BTech CSE. Some universities have started BTech Software Engineering with similar syllabus as CSE. In my opinion both the degrees are same.
Dear Saurabh,
Different universities have different fee structure. Please mention the name of university or colleges in which you want to take admission. Some universities like LPU, UPES, Graphic Era University, Chandigarh University have fee structure in the range of 1.8lac to 2 lac per year.
Hi Saurabh,
Of course, you can get admission in BE Computer Science in many private colleges. But, why go for any college when you can take admission in one of the oldest Engineering colleges of India.
Thapar University, Patiala is the best Indian private college with a legacy of more than 60 years. You can apply for admissions in B.E/B.Tech for 2017 session.
You can find the fee structure here- http://thapar.edu/images/admission17/TUITION FEE AND OTHER DUES.pdf
Both the colleges have got very good placements, nice infrastructure, best teaching faculty, well-equipped laboratories and much more. When it comes to the placement statistics, I prefer VR Siddhartha to RVR and JC. You can check out the placement details of VR's in the link: http://vrsiddhartha.ac.in/index.php/training-and-placements. RVR's placements are also good. But if you want to get seat in either of these colleges, your Andhra Pradesh-EAMCET rank must be aro... View more

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) Dinanagar Campus offers a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake capacity of approximately 60 students per academic year. This number may vary slightly based on the university's admissions policies and other regulatory approvals.

Sage University Bhopal has a decent placement record for B.Tech CSE students, with many companies visiting the campus for recruitment. The average salary package ranges between ?3.5 to ?6 LPA, with some students securing higher packages based on their skills and performance.

Abhi, this means that you are eligible for admission in phase 1b. If you have 90% or above in 12th, you will get direct admission. In case you have less than that then you will have to appear for LPU NEST again or you need to have 80 or more marks in JEE mains.
Swastik, all the institutes are good but LPU is a brand name in the field of education. Taking admission for CSE there will give you an advantage over other students as I have heard that they work hard on their students when it comes to placements. Not only are the students equipped with theoretical and practical subject knowledge but also they are trained to face placement exams with ease.
Another plus point is the university has made it possible for all to have access to quality education.
For a better insight you can visit their campus once or check the details on their website.
Best of luck.
Hello Avishek,
It's nice to know that you have dreams with you. Of course, CSE is a good choice. Now, your aim should be to prepare for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced to get admission in IIT. Have faith in yourself.
Best wishes!
Hello Abhi,
It's tough to predict the placement package as it depends on market conditions, which are difficult to predict for such a long duration. Further, it depends on which company provides placement as different companies provide different pay scales. It also depends on the candidate's skill sets and knowledge. Therefore, the placement package cannot be predicted at the moment.
If you do not want to do engineering then I suggest you do your graduation in Scence subjects. By the time you do B.Sc. there will be a plethora of options in front of you such as studying ahead till PhD for making a career in education line or in Research & Development, or doing MBA for getting into corporate sector, or opting for Govt Admin services through UPSC or state PSC exams, or getting into forensic Science or may be in fields like event management. There are plenty of opportunities. Even Biotechnology is one field open for you.
Kolkata is the beat state. It has been continuously ranking amongst the top in CSE branch. IIT Kharagpur, JU, NIT Durgapur and IIEST. All have very prosperous CSC Dept and is better than any other college in any state.
