Preparations for SLAT and CLAT will be overall similar. It totally depends on you whether you want to go for coaching or not. I scored 110/150 without any coaching or guidance. For SLAT preparations, these tips may help you:
*Work hard on reading comprehension as it is all in English and with a good command on English you can easily score good marks.
*GK questions are comparatively easier than compared to CLAT so go through the monthly preparations that you are going through.

<p>To prepare for UPSC you should understand the pattern of the exam.</p><p>There are 3 exams: Pre, Mains, and Interview </p><p>Start with NCERT books (Class 6–12) for History, Geography, Polity, and Science. Read a good newspaper daily for current affairs. </p><p>Choose one optional subject wisely. Make a timetable and follow it regularly. Stay consistent and revise often.</p>
Aptitude tests mostly comprises quantitative aptitude and verbal ability kind of questions.
You can excel quant section by practicing thoroughly. There is no short cut in quant.
You can perform well in verbal reasoning and grammar kind of questions by solving some good verbal books and most importantly improving your vocabulary. My favorite book for vocabulary development is Word Power Made Easy (by Normal Lewis)
