You should appear for various centre and state entrance examinations and secure a good rank in the same , you can try for JEE, BITS entrance, VIT entrance, MHCET etc

Dear Naimesh,
The basic difference is same as pointed in your question, one is engineering course a degree/diploma focused into details of the architectural engineering aspects.
The second difference is computer science mainly give an outline of the computer science, in general engineering is into depth the subject.

You are advised to do a specialized course on any RDBMS development and follow it with another course on data analytics to become data specialist. You can also join a good IT company as a developer and gain this expertise by experience.

Majority of good engineering college admissions are based on engineering entrance examinations. Students who top engineering entrance exam are able to get admission in CSE. You must try to score and achieve high rank to get CSE in engineering entrance exams.

CSE graduates are employed as Software Developer by IT companies. It takes 4+ years to progress to Module or Team lead role with excellent performance. Those who on job are not found as good developer move to roles such as Testing or QC etc. Starting salaries are in the range of Rs 3 Lakh per year with 6 to 12% increments based on performance.

You can appear for JEE Mains to become a computer science and engineering graduate from IITs and NITs. JEE Mains score is used by some state government colleges for admission.
You can also appear for engineering entrance exams conducted by private universities such as:

I'm happy that you are interested in reading books to gain knowledge but you cannot go with only this particular set or type books because some topics may cover in some different book which you are not aware of. So, I suggest you to go with more number of books if possible. If you are not able to get any details in books then go with online open sources, ebooks, api's, etc. which will help you to gain knowledge.

Interesting question Ajinkya. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon are dream companies and it is not easy to get there until and unless you are there in IITs, NITs, BITS, VITs and some other big private colleges. Also, you need a great amount of technical knowledge. But, yes if you pursue computer science, if not now but at one point of time you can definitely apply for Google and Microsoft.
