As you have not appeared for JEE Mains so it is difficult for you to get a good govt. college for CSE. Now try to focus on state level entrance exam but most of them have gone. Some colleges like CU take direct admission on the basis of your 12th %. CU also has pretty impressive placement record. So you can also approach there for pursuing CSE.

Hi Vishal,
USA, Canada, Singapore and Netherlands are now some of the best countries with top ranked universities for CSE. Every country has different admission requirements with different fee structure. USA is expensive. Overall, you can consider around USD 40,000 a year. Fees will be less in some countries.

Educational Counselor,

Both are amazing fields.
For someone who loves computers and programming, computer science will be better. If you like applying logic and solving puzzles, you would enjoy computer science.
However, if you love machines, and enjoy making something physical using your creativity, you would enjoy Mechanical engineering. Mechanical Engineering is a hardcore engineering field.
There are ample opportunities in both. You must sit and think what would you love to do in future - Make software or work with machines.

You need to score at least 75% to get eligible for IIT-JEE. Yes, it is true that for calculating ranking class 12th won't be given weightage. So, class 12th percentage are just to get entry to write JEE.

Keep it simplerrt,

In college try to learn C, C+ and Java. Also you will be studying subjects like compiler, databases, algorithms, networks and many more like that. Give them proper time and study them with dedication. Later on before placements study for aptitude and reasoning as they are necessary for placements.
Hope it helps.

Hello Sandra,
Computer Science engineering equally covers both hardware and software aspects. Information technology engineering and software engineering has a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch.
Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc. this little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. Most of the jobs offered are in the software domain. If you opt for information technology engineering, you can become a software engineer. If you opt for computer Science engineeri... View more
