Hello Yash,
While computer science and engineering equally cover both hardware and software aspects. Information technology engineering and software engineering has a lesser focus on the hardware aspect. However, this difference hardly matters as universities frequently keep updating the syllabus for each branch.
Unless and until, you get a job in a hardware manufacturing company like Intel, Logitech, etc. This little difference in the syllabus hardly matters. Most of the jobs offered are in the software domain. If you opt for information technology engineering, you can become a software engineer. If you opt for computer science an... View more
Computer science engineering deals with the designing of software, looking at algorithms and how the two interface with other software. It is part mathematics, part engineering and a little bit of creative arts all mixed together.
Computer engineering is more of a hybrid role that focuses on how computer science and electrical engineering come together. Computer engineering deals with hardware design. The engineer focuses on both the hardware and software aspects of technology. They study how the two interact together.
According to me computer science engineering has more scope.

Hello,
Using abbreviations while asking questions is never a good practice as it always creates confusions. Therefore, I request you to kindly clarify whether the abbreviation "CE" in your question refers to civil engineering or chemical engineering or ceramic engineering. Kindly revert with a detailed question so that I can assist you better.
Hello Vishal,
I see that many students get confused with the different names provided by the different institutes for the same course and you are no exception. Computer Engineering and Computer Science Engineering refer to the same course. No course can guarantee you good placements. While it's the college's responsibility to bring in as many relevant companies as possible, getting placed in the company depends on the skills and knowledge of the student. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.
