Over this rank it is not possible to a NIT. You should try for other entrance exams.
I suggest Computer Science engineering, as it is now leading branch in the technical world. Huge opportunities, best career options were available in CSE. When compared to Biomedical, it is far better, because many software companies emerging and lot of human power needed. So, choose software stream.

Yes, why not, you can take lateral entry in SVVV.
For that, you have to submit a NOC issued from past college
and migration certificate.
Admission will be allotted in that case when there is any vacant seat in respective year and branch.
Can't say because some NITs are better than IIITs but some IIITs are better than NITs.

All the best.
1. We do not have computer science in DAIICT. It is ICT- Information and Communication Technology and it has a honors minor in COMPUTATIONAL Science NOT COMPUTER Science. A minor is where you do additional courses in addition to the main courses.
Also keep in mind only around 100 students get through ACPC so when you apply if your DAIICT merit rank is below 150 only then you can have a fair chance to be sure of admission into DA.
I hope this helps.
Hello Mahesh,
CSE and Aeronautical engineering are two important branches of engineering. Presently, CSE will definitely ensure a good placement while placement after Aeronautical is bit trouble some. Intellectually, both are equally challenging.
Hello Pratap,
Firstly, nowadays, admissions to engineering colleges are mainly through some or the other entrance exam. Merely on the basis of board marks, you may get admission, but in very few colleges.

I will suggest for cse in JGEC. Reasons are:
CAMPASSING: whatever the college may be, nowaday it and cse both has good opportunity in placement (mostly in IT sector). And you cannot predict the campassing of any college after 4 years right now.
DEGREE CERTIFICATE: When you show your certificate the tag GOVERNMENT has obviously more prestige. And now JGEC also become AUTONOMOUS.
COST OF STUDY: In private college the cost is very high. But in government college the cost is very low.You can save money.
4 YEARS EXPERIENCE:I can bet you will have a great memory of college life in JGEC. You will face reality.Which will help you lot ... View more
