For admission in M.Com you have to apply in St. Xavier's University, Kolkata and their policy about year gap is 'not more than 3 years'. You have just a year gap. So you can apply.

As per my experience and knowledge, you can get admission in B.Com after passing XII in some universities, this show your class 12th marks, and in some universities they give you admission, but the minimum qualification is that you have to pass class 12th with minimum 60%.

As per my opinion and my knowledge, there are many good courses that you can select after completing your class 12th, like you can go for B.Tech or you can also go for B.Sc, or you can also go for BCA. It depends in which university you are studying. If it is Mumbai University then you have to clear at least 4 papers out of 6. If you are from any of the universities in Tamil Nadu then you are allowed to move in the next year and can clear your previous year's paper later.

An entrance exam is being held for integrated M.com admission by the university itself . For integrated B.Com M.com you should have a minimum 60% at 12th finals. Whereas only for M.com you need to have a B.Com (honours) degree with 50%. Mathematics at degree level is desirable.
