No, both associate degree and Diploma courses are different from each other. Because

Hi NAGESWARARAO,
As your son has got 7120 ews rank in JEE Mains with 94.95 percent marks, so he is eligible to participate in the counselling process. You should apply for lower and middle order nits like NIT Patna, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Bhopal, IIIT Bhubaneswar, etc. Better to apply for all the nits available in the list.
Best of luck.

Knowledge is meant to be shared,

The scope of the CSE in India is evergreen, and it will never get destroyed until 2030, and as this branch only teaches the core CS, and the other branch like EEE and ECE engineers are also teaches some advance CS, so they have a plus point of getting these jobs of CSE also. So, choose accordingly.

Dear, You can either think for higher study, I. e. Graduation or search for job with your Diploma background based on priority in terms of your need and interest. If you like to pursue further study you may think for Lateral Entry in 2nd year of B.Tech in CSE else for searching job, register in job portals as well as try for PSU and Other Government job as per your eligibility through competitive exam. Best wishes.

You can opt for any engineering college which is AICTE, UGC recognized and have good placement records. As an engineering student, I can say that college doesn't matter nowadays if you are looking for IT sectors. For a govt. job, you need to crack GATE exam no matter whichever college or university you belong to. But for your information, go to the govt. site NIRF ranking on MHRD site.
I hope this will help you.
