I think you should go for NIT-Surat if you need an NIT tag, because RVCE is a private college.
Or go for RVCE if your first priority is CSE.

An engineering student IIITian,

If your rank is 18000, you will get NIT and IIIT. I can't say about CSE but you will get other branches. Preferring VIT over NIT IIIT is what I feel is not good. You can even get CSE in other private colleges having more exposure to coding. Good luck.
Hope it helps.

<p>Admission to SASTRA's challenging programs in CSE and IT requires a number of variables, including performance in the 12th grade and JEE Mains. You can be admitted to SASTRA for CSE or IT based on your JEE Mains percentile and 12th board percentage. This is the same procedure as previous year's cut-offs because the cut-off ranks are subject to change every year. To ensure you have a backup plan in place, take into account the difficult admissions process and your score. Check the official SASTRA university website.&nbsp;</p>

Helping others is my habit.,

10 percent does't matter for admission in B.Tech programme. All that matters is your 12 boards marks. The more you score in 12 as well as in the entrance exam. You will give for the admission in UG programme the more chances to get a better college is more. Every college has it's own eligibility criteria for admission. On an average, minimum of 50-60 % marks in 12 you must score for getting the college. Or, if you score more like 85 above then you may get a scholarship even as well as direct admission in the private college. So, focus on your 12 and be prepare for the entrance exams.
Best of luck.

Even if you are interested in CSE only, you can still take DTU Mechanical, and learn programming on your own through online/offline courses, you can keep a decent percentage in Mechanical, and then sit for the numerous software companies that visit dtu for placements, about half of which are open for all branches. Else, if you want to study CSE in college only, go for JMI, don't know about its placements.

Being a PWD Gen candidate, it becomes a bit easier for you because of the PWD reservation system of 5%. Considering that you should score a minimum of 140 out of 300 to get a CSE seat in one of the best NITs of India. Now may be depending on the toughness of the paper the cutoff might vary but it'll lie around here. But just to be sure target 150+ to get a CSE seat.
