Yes, if you have given their entrance exam, then definitely you can get admission in Manipal University.
The use is that you can do M.Tech from IITs, NITs and government engineering colleges. You can also get into PSUs directly.
Since you are from general category. You will not get good colleges. But there will be some colleges who will be willing to take you. But you have to choose wisely.
Difficulty depends on your acceptance of the subject. If you are passionate about the subject u will feel free and happy to learn it. You should not keep this type of childish questions in your mind. You are going to be a engineer in future. The two streams are different with their own field. You hv already studied physics, chem, maths in class 12th. Did u feared any of them? I hope, NO. so judge your interest, passion and go for a stream. CSE is having a good market demand nowadays if it is done from a reputed college with good knowledge in the subject. Try to get a good college. All the best. Thank you.

Getting an 8+ CGPA in CSE looks tough but it is not if you keep a balance. The system is simple. Marks come from both internal and external exams. If you attend classes, do assignments, and prepare for midterms, half of the work is done. The rest depends on final exams.
In CSE, subjects are a mix of coding, theory, and projects. If you keep studying a little every day, it becomes easy. Consistency matters more than late-night study before an exam. Teachers also explain in detail, so listening in class saves time. Many students target an 8 CGPA and reach it because the evaluation is fair.

The main point i... View more

Which branch should I choose: ECE or CS?
It actually depends, how you like your future to be.
Choosing CSE will lead you towards software companies which will definitely provide you with a better pay package than a core ECE company will provide to an average student. To be precise, you may get a private job with a high salary structure. On the other hand, ECE, being a core branch, there is a good scope for government jobs too. For example, you can appear for competitive examinations such as IES with ECE as your subject and the best part is, you can still apply for software jobs if you are confident of your... View more
