For any Diploma course, the only eligibility criteria is good percentage in degree if you do it from a well-known institute.
Because, Diploma courses are short term I think there's no entrance exam.
After completion of Diploma, go for degree surely.
Diploma people get entry into 2nd year of the respective UG course in the same field.

In JMIT there are a few opportunity for placement might be only TCS comes as a recruiter but academics are quite good. In IP University you can get more exposure firstly due to NCR region and secondly number of opportunities are more there for training and placement. Good luck.
