VJTI admits students through JEE marks as well as MHTCET marks. However, for students presently going on to 12th standard, it's a little dicey as there may be an official announcement soon regarding MHTCET removal. It may be through JEE only if that happen.

Hello,
Getting into colleges like CBIT, Vasavi, etc. is a bit tough, as they hold huge cut-off rank for CSE people.
With a rank of 12k, you can try for KMIT, Vardhaman, Geethanjali, CVSR, CMR, etc. All of them are good colleges.

Both the options have their own learning and outcomes. B.Tech in Computer Engineering is focused on intensive programming, developing new technologies and concepts, and mathematical skills. CS Engineers develop concepts and test them. On the other hand, BCA programme is designed to build programming skills for developing efficient and resource optimized software/website/cloud/mobile applications. The discipline of BCA is the study of putting these concepts to use. It is essentially, integrating fundamentals from the basic Mathematics, Physics, & Management by applying analytical thinking. MANIT, Bhopal had a good placement record instead of the present scenario in most of the branches. Electrical being a core branch had less percentage placement and average package than CSE. Last year about 79% placement was recorded in MANIT for the electrical branch with the highest package of Rs 21 lakh. CSE, on the other hand, had a larger scope. If you don't worry about the NIT tag and have a concentration on placements learning opportunity I would prescribe you to opt CSE at IIITDM. But if the nitian tag matters you may opt for electrical. But one last advice electrical is one of the toughest and roughest in every stream.
