As you have scored 2k rank in JEE Mains exam 2019 and you belongs to PWD category, so you are eligible to take admission in this college. But getting a seat in computer Science engineering will be difficult. So, I will suggest you to participate in the counselling process wisely and smartly and wait till the last round of the counselling process.

It cannot be said for sure if you will be able to get CSE in Round 3 of the Sastra Counseling. In the year 2022, the cut-off was 1080. Then for this year, we can expect the cut-off could be higher than the previous year. It is better to improve your rank in the JEE Mains exam, and you can even apply for admission to the spot round counseling. You can even try to apply for a lateral entry scheme.

Dumka Engineering College provides B.Tech courses, but the education quality is not as high as in IITs, NITs, or BITs. The teachers are knowledgeable, and some are from IITs, but the teaching and academic standards are not at the same level as these top institutes. Students looking for a strong academic environment might find the opportunities here limited in comparison. However, it can still be a good option for those seeking affordable education with decent faculty support.

Management & IT Consultant,

Syllabus of computer science and IT overlap between 80 to 90% in various universities. CS is the study of computers and computational systems. Computer scientists deal mostly with software and software systems; this includes their theory, design, development, and application. IT engineering is application of CS for enterprises to meet business goals. CS graduates can easily do both application and systems development whereas as IT engineers are trained to work on application development. Indian IT industry prefers CS graduates over IT because CS is branch taken by toppers in all engineering entrance examinations.
