First of all congratulations for scoring such a good rank/score in the JEE Mains 2022. From seeing the trends of the LNMIIT cut off of previous years, you might get CSE branch in round 1 at such good rank. And if the cut off is very high then also, you will definitely get CSE in round 2/3 this year. I am assuming that your CGPA is 8.5 or above /80%+ in class 12th boards exam, since it's the basic eligibility criteria for this college. Best of luck for your future. Hope your query is resolved.

You are getting the branch you want and moreover, it a IIIT. New old, it has a reputation, and moreover, there will be companies there for your placement too. There is no problem with taking a new IIIT at all. On the other hand if you take the NIT with any branch you get, y... View more

Check all top 30 universities for their entry requirements and deadlines, you should start the process atleast 8 months before the intake. Hello Shivani Sri, ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc) communicate with each other. It has more Physics in it. There is a little programming involved but not much.
CSE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. It has a lot of logic involved and Maths too.
At the end, it is you who can decide which course to pursue, it is better to choice the branch YOU really want.
Hope this helps! All the best!

Both are inter-dependent. Placement wise, ECE is a little better than CSE as it has more offers in the public sector (govt jobs). Also ECE is considered to be somewhat of a "evergreen" branch.

#NITian,

Well, you have made a big mistake not giving the entrance exam. Without that you won't be eligible for a seat in a government institute. So, you have the option to go for a private college or you can drop a year to prepare for entrance exam.

Hi Vivek,
Apparently, both the countries are very good in terms of education standards and post study opportunities. You may further check the SOL of the two countries and see the in-demand occupations. Both the countries are also affordable however living expenses are higher in Australia. In terms of admission Canada is more competitive than Australia. So you need to narrow down the final choice based on your profile, budget, university admission requirements etc.
