While the qualifying score at JEE MAIN exam entitles you to apply at MEC, it does not however assure you of a seat in CSE or any other course for that matter. After application, the merit list is created for courses preferred by the applicant and only then seat allotment is made in the Counseling sessions.

484849 in JEE Main is quite a low rank. However you have not mentioned any other details like your category, the home state you belong to as the cutoffs also depend on them. Now if we go through the cutoffs of various NITs, if you belong to general category, then getting CSE might be difficult. Apart from CSE, you can expect Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering in NITs such as Uttarakhand, Jalandhar, Jaipur, Patna, Andhra Pradesh, Durgapur etc. Under All India quota. You may get CSE in North East NITs or NIT Srinagar, Hamirpur etc. As the cutoffs are low.

B.Tech Student @ PESU,

Sorry to say but with a 10k rank it is difficult to get a seat in PES. Also there are no scholarships at the time of admission. You can get a scholarship after you get your CGPA in the first semester and onwards.

Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology (AIMT) was established in 2008 as a private engineering and management college in (Mohanlalganj) Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh India and is affiliated to AKTU and BTE and Approved by AICTE. Rather than opting for a newly established college, I would like to suggest you to opt for old and renowned colleges like:
J.S.S Academy of Technical Education, Noida
Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida
Krishna Institute of Engineering & Technology, Ghaziabad

Systems Engineer at Infosys,

I can't tell you about the current cut-off but you can apply for the joint counselling. And CS is not important. Once you are admitted at any branch, after that, you can score more than 8.5 CGPA in 1st year. So, you can change your branch to CSE. Your 1st year syllabus for every branch is same.

Advantages of doing B.Sc Biotechnology
The major advantage of doing a B.Sc Course in this subject is that the course duration is short, when compared to a BE /B.Tech Programme. B.Sc course takes 3 years to complete, whereas BE /B.Tech. Programme takes 4 years. Another advantage is relatively low saturation level in this field. From facts and figures, it is quite evident that B.Sc Biotechnology is not a very popular professional course among class 12th Science students. Students prefer courses like BE /B.Tech MBBS BDS etc. On seeing the B.Sc Label, they tend to ignore Biotechnology course. This has resulted in relatively less number of ... View more

In general, the minimum qualifying marks for GUJCET are 40% for general category candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. It is important to note that meeting the minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee admission to a government college in Gandhinagar for computer Science. Admissions are based on the candidate's rank in the GUJCET exam and other criteria such as the availability of seats and the candidate's performance in previous academic records.
