College selection expert,

Hi Balu,
Since you have interest in both the branches, and you are considering RVCE, then it's highly preferable to opt for CSE there because RVCE is India's one of the finest private colleges for CSE and as Banglore is the IT hub of India so you will get more exposure and better job opportunities accompanied with good packages in the field of CSE there as compared to mechanical engineering.
But in the last, it's up to you, choose the field towards which you are inclined more.
All the best.

Yes, it is a good choice. The college has good placements. Many MNCs come for recruitment.
The marks depend on your caste. At Anna University, counselling caste is taken into account
SC/ST - 160-170
OC (Gen) - minimum 195 and above
BC /MBC - 180-190

College Selection Expert,

Hello,
As your marks are too low, you are not eligible for college in Maharashtra so if you want to do engineering, you have to drop this year so that you can appear in the improvement exam and score better.
All the best.

Your score is good, but may not be enough to get a rank under 1000 (not very sure though, there are good possibilities of getting the same). But you have nothing to fear, you can get any branch of your choice.

Following the NCERT book is the best option, if you are from CBSE. Other than those, you may follow S. L. Arora or H.C. Verma for Physics, ABC for Chemistry and R. S. Aggarwal or R.D. Sharma for Maths.

Student,

For computer Science, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal Institute of Technology is the best college of Jaipur. LNMIIT has a good placement record and a very good campus. Or, you can choose Manipal University or JECRC University.

Engineer, PGPM 2018-20 @ MDI,

You can leave this to his choice whether he wants to pursue Computer Science and Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. If you force him for something it may hamper his future. But if talking of choice of institutions Patna, Bhopal and Jaipur are always ahead of New NITs whether it's CSE or ME.

You could go for computer science as a bifocal course in the science stream. But not all colleges offer this course. Nevertheless it will help in providing a foundation in your hardware and software skills.
