Yes, you are eligible for getting admission because rank upto 9000 will land you with CSE in VIT, Vellore and upto 12,000 in VIT Chennai in first category. Otherwise you can pay more and get in 2nd category. You should get a score approximately 90 marks to definitely get CSE branch at VIT Vellore. Although, it will depend on the overall performance by the students.

Management & IT Consultant,

Computer field is very crowded where the supply of resources is from various sources such as B.Tech CS/IT, BCA, MCA, M.Tech CS/ IT, B.Sc CS/ IT, M.Sc CS/ IT and engineering graduates from any branch. Therefore, Diploma holders in CS struggle to get good jobs. You are advised to do a degree in CS for a reasonable career in IT industry.

Hello,
ECE deals with electronics while CSE deals with computer Science. There is considerable overlap: embedded systems for instance involves ideas from both areas. Both ECE and CSE are likely vast disciplines with several sub-disciplines. For CSE, check theACM computing classification system 2012which lists several areas within CSE. Find a similar thing for ECE, compare the two and see if anything interests you.
Rather than comparing prospects of ECE and CSE and choosing the better one, pick the one you are interested in and make it work. I like the idea that Alan Watts conveys "If you are interested in something, do that and for... View more

Yes, you can get the admission in MSVR college for B.E. CSE college and the college fee for ECE students in MVSR college is RS 95,000/ per year. If you want to get into the college through management quota you have to pay a donation to the college. The donation may depend on the demand. We cannot predict the amount. But on average it may vary from INR 5 lakhs to INR 12 lakhs.

Cut off marks for admission to a Diploma varies from one state to another state and also for different category of persons based on caste. In general, with special reference to Tamil Nadu State,I can give the MAX-MIN% cut-off for different categories. However, this may vary slightly upwards/downwards.
OC and forward caste persons is 100 to 80% of total marks in SSLC or SSC(10th class)
BC is 79 to 60% of total marks.in SSLC or SSC(10th class)
MBC is 59 to 40% of the total marks.in SSLC or SSC(10th class)
SC or ST is PASS % of total marks.in SSLC or SSC(10th class).

TS EAMCET provides colleges on the basis of 10+2 marks, JEE Mains, and TS EAMCET scores. If you have a state quota or other quota, then you can get into college very easily. I will provide general data because you didn't mention any specific category. Because your rank is very high, don't worry even if you don't get into a government college.
