Can not say anything but this time competition will be more tough as compared to previous years because there are 4 JEE Mains attempt this time and normalisation will be more complicated and it will be surely can't be understood by anyone. Recently after results were announced by NTA of JEE Mains, JoSAA has announced cutoffs for each category of students. If your percentile is better than this then only you can seek admission in PEC. Logically yes, if at all you want try with IITs and NITs, BITS, PSG type of institutions. But professionally, if you want to go for worthwhile career ME/M.Tech/MS by research are better than M.Sc. Make your choice to your hearts content.
