College Selection Expert,

ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM, etc.) communicate with each other. It has more physics in it. There is a little programming involved but not much.
CSE deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. It has a lot of logic involved and maths too.
Placement wise, ECE is a little better than CSE as it has more offers in the public sector (govt. jobs). Also ECE is considered to be somewhat of a evergreen branch. If you do specialization (e.g. M.Tech in VLSI design) after doing B.Tech in ECE, there is a great demand in the market for such pe... View more

Hello,
I won't give false hope but getting CSE at that rank in KIIT isn't possible. But dont worry. Last year, KIIT introduced two new branches in computer engineering. Those are computer science & communication engineering & computer science & system engineering. You may have chance of getting those. You can also go for IT. These 4 courses which fall under school or computer engineering is almost similar and gives same opportunities regarding jobs.
(Most of the people are mad about CSE & they dont know much about the newly introduced courses)
I hope this helps. If it did, please upvote & comment for further queries.
