Almost equal scope and placement but CSE nowadays leads the sector of engg by a small margin. But I suggest go with your interest coz you will overcome that little margin if you do hard work in your branch.
If you like CS & Programming then it will ideal to take further studies in CS. You can chose between BTech BCA and BSc IT to build IT career.
B.Tech (B.E) and BCA are the popular once. I would suggest you B.tech as it is a professional degree.
Hello
Both branches are better in engineering because every branch have their own scope. In civil engineering more government job after the b.tech rather than IT.
In IT branch you can get job in IT companies as software developer. You should choose branch according to your interest .
hope this helps you.

A majority of jobs for aeronautical engineers are in PSU, DRDO, ISRO and Indian Air Force. Where CSE graduates are employed by all industries as the computer is a facilitating technology in all industries. India is computer applications outsourcing hub with lots of opportunities for fresh graduates. Therefore, on the basis of opportunities and scope, CSE is a better option.
