It's really superb if you are a CS or IT candidate or else an M.Sc candidate. The interview process is already over for the following companies:
1. ebay
2. Thorogoods
3. Goldman Sachs
4. DE Shaw
5. Flipkart
6. Amazon
7. Musigma
8. Novell
8. UGAM
There are lot of companies still visiting our campus for recruitment. Opportunities not oly limited to those two dept's. Robert bosch, Zoho and all opened for all dept's. It's always better in terms of placement in PSG. I hope we can compare it wit any other indian institutions. The package is also comparably good. The highest package is 20.5 LPA which is offered by eBay.

Hello Afzal Orawala, this institution was established way back in 1963 and has a very good reputation in Mumbai. It is an autonomous Institute meaning it awards its own diploma and degrees but all these are recognised by government of Maharashtra. This is an establishment that is called as grants in aid meaning many of the expenses incurred like teachers salaries etc are paid by government of Maharashtra and obviously it has to follow in the footsteps of what is applicable for government of Maharashtra establishments importing diploma courses. Admissions in this Institute are given based on the centralised admission process administered by... View more

Certainly NO.
Only theory, no implementation, only 1 day free class in a week, 9-5 continuous classes, more than half of the CS-IT faculty is incompetent, 75% attendance compulsory or they slash your main marks by half, can't sit on the ground, NO purified water and NO canteen, NO or a very few placements, NO major company visits (the ones displayed on the website haven't visited in years).
But you can take admission and see for yourself.
You can also meet some students currently studying there and ask them personally.

Both of these institutes are the top institutes for engineering in Kolkata. However, as per my opinion, NIT should be considered a better institute than UEM Kolkata. NIT was established 13 years before UEM Kolkata, thus has more credebility. When compared in terms of fees, NIT fees for B.Tech CSE stands at INR 4Lakhs where as it is INR 5.60 Lakhs for UEM. NIT also has an NIRF ranking of 200-500. Thus, considering all such factors, NIT Kolkata should be the ideal choice.

The exact information you were looking for. However, based on my search, you can get admission for CSE in many top colleges like KLE technology of institute, BNM institute of technology, GITAM institute of technology, jss institute of technology. You will find it difficult to get admission in colleges like RV college of engineering, NIT Mysore, sidhaganga institute of technology, Visweshwara institute of technology. I hope this helps.
