But if you come under SEBC or SC/ST then you can easily get admission either in 1st or 2nd round. Also you can go for DEPSTAR which is totally dedicated to computer branches and the syllabus is totally same as CSPIT. Irrespective of the college, you get the same degree as both are under CHARUSAT university.

According to the NIRF ranking, the top 3 NITs are NIT Trichy, NITK Surathkal, and NIT Warangal. To get into the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch of B.Tech at these NITs, you need to have a very good JEE Main rank. To pursue UG programs in the US, it is advised to score 75% and above.

Both are equally valuable but computer science and engineering is more preferable. Computer science and engineering covers all the topics of information technology (IT) and also, give knowledge of other topics of this stream.
Basically, computer science is a core branch where as information technology is an abbreviation of computer science.
Going out with computer science will provide you much more opportunities and also gives much more scope to be an entrepreneur.
