If the subjects studied at Amity University are the same as SGITS-Indore then there may be a scope to get admission in the second year. Otherwise, you have to repeat your first year. It varies from college to college.
Government colleges have less fees around INR 15,000, but private college's fess are very high i.e. INR 1,21,000 or much higher than this too.

Hi Hartej, it totally depends on you as to what do you want to prefer if you are sure about the one-year studies that can make difference then obviously you can go with one year drop. May be you will able crack IITs. JIIT is not a bad choice but if you have an option for going IITs then obviously you should try it.

I think the best place for B. Tech CSE is Rayat Bahra University, offering unique course, called New Age Programme, in coloration with Siemens, Google, & IBM. Through KCET, it is nearly 59000 but if you go through management seat, you will have to pay nearly 4 to 5 lakh, I think.

It is very nice to know your aim and desire to get into computer engineering of any of the NIT's. As per the reports in the year 2018, the minimum marks required for a student to be eligible for registering for admission from SC category was 50. Mind you this was the minimum marks which will make you eligible for registration not that it will get you any seat. Normally twice the number of students as compared with available seeds are selected are allowed to appear in counselling.
