From what I’ve seen, Lovely Professional University doesn’t have a fixed “cutoff” for M.Sc Agriculture (Agronomy) like government universities. The main requirement is usually around 55–60% in B.Sc Agriculture or a related field, and if you meet that, you’re eligible to apply.

Compared to colleges with strict entrance cutoffs, LPU is more flexible and focuses on eligibility + merit. So if your graduation marks are decent, chances of getting admission are quite good.

In pearl academy All students get to learn the latest international trends through masterclasses by global experts and can also avail international summer / exchange programs. Being a private college it obviously has more fees than NID or NIFT. So don't take it lightly. The greatest downfall of this college is that:
It isn't UGC recognised. It doesn't have a very good reputation, say as nift Delhi. It takes in almost everyone. It isn't selective in terms of who it takes in. So don't expect a very creative crowd. Most reviews from students are like they are not at all satisfied from the college and its placements after spending so much ... View more

Well Surekha,
It is really up to you, and how you want to take your career forward. But, I can say, in India it’s scope is very leads nowadays.
Industry will provided a far greater financial incentive and will probably be more stable than academia.
The academic side can be unstable post-docs last 3-years, teaching posts can be temporary and to climb up the ladder you will have to move around institutes/universities.
But, you also have to remember if you work in industry you can still collaborate with institutes/universities. And try to apply for foreign institutes/ universities for better future if done Ph.D.

Hi Rohan,
Your marks are exceptionally good. But to get admission in Stanford or Harvard you just not need to be perfect in academics but in extra circular activities too because they don't need a studious dumb student. In fact, they want an around. Try to maintain your marks above 85 or 90% in your every semester (it has weightage). After your GRE score followed by IELTS bands (mini 7 band needed). At least 2 or 3 year of work experience and Essays writing along with your attractive CV. The procedure is quite long.
