Hello,
Both the courses are good. CMA's popularity is a bit lower than CA profession because people always follow the rat race. CA is the abbreviation for Chartered Accountant, and CMA stands for Certified Management Accountant. These are some of the internationally recommended professional designations. On the other hand, CMA is a complete programme that focuses on financial and accounting management. What differentiates CMA from CA is that CMA is more close to management field than CA. You will play a key role in decision making, internal audit, management accounting, etc. CA is, on the other hand, will lead you to auditing, taxation... View more

Hard work and most importantly smart work is a key pre-requisite. If you wish to steer through the course and come out as an achiever. The coursework is very demanding. It may demand you efficient handling of 8 subjects at a time where every book would be of around 1000 pages. Apart from the course books, there would be a plethora of materials like previous year papers and mock papers which you need to analyze the patterns of past years questions and attempt and revise them at the same time. You would be doing an articleship, and maybe attend your college as well which would be adding up to it. To sum it up, if you wish to top this exam, y... View more

Quantitative Analyst (Credit Risk),

CA is an exam which does not need a person to be extraordinarily intelligent, it is an exam for a person with basic intelligence. No WhatsApp, no Instagram, No Favorite subject and no friends. These are some restrictions which are imposed on their own, too many subjects to study. CA exam is completely different where the evaluation is made based on substance rather than resemblance. Further syllabus is voluminous and if inadequate time is spent, failure is certain. It is near to insanity, if a person were to read the entire curriculum only once before the exams. Yes that's great to pursue chartered accountant after graduation because by doing this you will be getting an exemption from CA CPT exam that is now known as CA foundation exam. You can directly get enrolled into the intermediate course of CA in which you have 8 papers divided into two groups containing four papers each. But for the CA foundation students the eligibility criteria remain same of passing last 12 from a recognise board,. The exemption is only available to the graduates.
