Btech from ABES Engineering College,

Hi Buddy
Look, CAT is not about study more. Its about how much you manage yourself during exam. The only part which may be difficult for many people is VARC. LRDi is not difficult as it looks. If you attempt 2 set correct of LRDI means 8 question, you will be above 88percentile if you attempt 12 question Correct in LRDI section you will be landing above 98 percentile. Quants section is what you need little practice. Quants for CAT is not that difficult. You should know only basics of every chapter. You can easily score above 85 in quants. So, best is give at least 4 mock test in a week so that you know which part you can improve on. <... View more

Preparing for UPSC CSE 2021,

I don't think CAT and other bank exams syllabus are same. It may help you to some extent as your English, logical reasoning and basic maths will improve but preparation for bank competitive exams need some separate preparation. It may help you in other MBA entrance exams but not much in bank-related exams.

It depend on yourself. People starts preparing from their first year, some start after graduation, so that they can solely focus on CAT preparation only. I would suggest you to prepare from now itself, as you know that graduation appearing students can also sit for exam, the profit from this is firstly, you'll get the ideas about exam. And also, get to know, how much I need to prepare?, so that if you are going to appear for next year, you'll be ready to score good. Regards.

You can either go for self-preparation if you find the topics difficult or not able to regularly practice the problems than better to join a coaching institute. Also, do join a good test series to evaluate your performance. Test series will give you an idea of time management, section selection and performance comparison with others.
