Hello Saptarshi,
It's a decision to be taken with analysis. There are plenty of students who take drop & prepare exclusively for JEE Mains & Advanced. Caution needs to be exercised that perseverance and dedication for study needs to be maintained. If you can then go ahead with your plan.
There are 5 things CAT coaching classes will never tell you but they are very important and must be kept in mind. They are
1.There’s Life past CAT
2.Get ready For CAT In A Way That Suits You Well
3.Try not to Rely Solely On Solving CAT Books
Step 1: Determine your mind that you are ready to give your heart and soul to it. Even ready to spend 1 to 1.5 years with reading.
Step 2: Determine if you want to take UPSC coaching or self study. (My suggestion if you have your blood relation know about or in preparation of UPSC take their suggestion or go for coaching classes)
and must know that institute is just for guidance and you only have to study. (have it in mind, it helps)
Step 3: Start seeing daily news at night in Rajya Sabha TV at 9 pm from today itself. (Available on YouTube)
Step 4: Have policy of one subject one book and don't heap up books.

If you have a good study plan, you can study independently at home for the IRMASAT exam. This exam is conducted only once a year and is relatively easier than other exams. The following is advice from professionals on how to create an IRMASAT plan:

Using the IRMASAT syllabus as a guide, make a list of the subjects that the study materials must cover.

Plan your study time on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis according to the time available.

Analyze previous IRMASAT tests to note important topics.

Start reading newspaper and magazine editorials...
As the syllabus of MEET is very basic candidates just need to cover the basic concepts by referring to the books like "Teaching Aptitude and General Knowledge" by Arihant Publications, and other specific guides for reasoning and general awareness. For current affairs, daily newspaper reading is highly recommended.

You must not get demotivated because of your one failure. You are advised to continue with your education by first completing 10th and then 12th board. You may put extra effort and try to overcome your weaknesses in subjects you have failed in 10th. In the mean time you can continue with your JEE preparations.

Hello Aman,

1. Allen.
2. FITJEE.
3. Resonance.
Hello Ahraz,
Kindly, do not begin with this thought of skipping some topics. Have faith in yourself. If you have decided to appear please do not make halfhearted efforts. Go full distance. This is not some game which you can skip and nothing much will happen. Your whole life will depend on how you perform. I am saying all this because questions invariably cover complete syllabus.
Hi,
I would recommend joining TestFunda and IMS and definitely recommend against TIME.
Why join TestFunda?
It is the best for CAT and is flexible.
They are quite good and similar to CAT level. The best part about TF is that you get the solutions, the moment you give the mocks. It will make a huge difference. You can start analyzing your mocks as soon as you finish your paper.
Why IMS?
It is very close to CAT.
I did not take the IMS Simcats in 2014, but I have seen the papers from my friends. They have always been quite similar to the actual CAT.

There isn't a set amount of AMU Entrance Exam prep books that students need to read in order to pass the test. They should concentrate on the quality of preparation rather than the quantity. Applicants should consult NCERT books in addition to at least one section-specific AMU Entrance Exam study book for each section, followed by a comprehensive preparation guide, in terms of numbers. You should solve old question papers and take lots of practise tests in addition to consulting the well-known literature.

To prepare for Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, stick to the traditional path of concepts first and practice later. Study English grammar and Verbal Ability first to understand the concept. Then practice a number of sample questions of different kinds to gain confidence, speed and accuracy. For RC passages, develop the habit of reading from early stages. Read books from all walks of life.

Practicing sample Reading Comprehension passages and questions in a crucial part of VARC preparation. They also give mock tests and old question papers. Try those. It helps you understand how the paper looks and where you need to improve.

Now make a study plan. Give time to every subject. Find which parts are hard for you. Work more on those. Don't forget to revise again and again. Mock tests are very helpful. Try many before the real exam. I am doing the same, but I was told that interviewers often seek a solid reason for spending a year. If you want to prepare at home, enroll to some other certification course such as language course, etc. Just to justify the year's gap in your resume at the interviews.
After making the list, it will also become apparent that the syllabus for JEE and board exams is more or less similar. The chapters covered in board exam are theoretical in nature, while those of JEE are concept-based.
1. Confront challenges: Studying the vast syllabus of both the exams can be really challenging. The solution to this problem lies in confronting the challenge by making weekly plans and assessing performance regularly. This way, students will know where they stand for each exam and can focus on improving their preparation accordingly.
2. Studying NCERT books: Studying NCERT books thoroughly is enough for holistic pre... View more
It is called SOP Statement of purpose. you can get guidelines in shiksha website itself as how to write an SOP. it is statement about you and you can describe how did you get in to this particular area of study and what is your ambition in life.
There is also a website called statement of purpose.com you can google and get it.
You need to focus only on one thing: your studies. Not what others are doing. Nicely keep covering all your chapters in all the three subjects(PCM) flawlessly. Prepare well for your boards. JEE main will also get covered. This year JEE main did joke with us; they asked defintion and even one word answers that require the 'go through' of the lessons and not practice. Maths needs excellent practice and physics can be covered with little effort of conceptions. Do these with love and there! You will easily qualify. But never ignore class 12th board. +2 marks are well considered. All the best !!
Hello Abhi,
There are some experts in almost every place who give personal coaching but their efficacy is not known. Also it's a myth that if you pay huge fees then you will succeed. It's not widely publicised but the number of students who have coaching from institutes you mentioned AND who have not got admission in IIT or Not is really huge. What gets publicised is only names of winners but the that's the fact.
Best wishes.
