Hi, To be honest, I would recommend that you try out the study material from IMS / TIME / Career Launcher as your first resource. This material is very well designed and keeps the needs of students as the first priority. The slight problem that exists with TIME material, in my opinion, is that sometimes it tends to be a little bit harder than required. You can easily skip out on that particular part of the chapter or those set of problems. However, you should have the knack of knowing what is relevant from a CAT perspective. Once you go through enough number of previous year CAT questions - you will develop that knack. In case you get a do... View more

Dear Shivam,
Greetings. For CAT there are few measures that you can take in order to perform well in the exam. The measures include, a thorough understanding of the pattern, type of questions asked and syllabus along with continuous practice (manually and through mock tests). Further, there are few tutorials available at YouTube and for preparation of verbal and non-verbal reasoning, you can rely on RS Aggarwal. Yes, you can sit for JEE Mains twice. Maximum number of times you can sit for JEE Mains is thrice. Example:
Candidates who appeared in class 12th/other qualifying examinations in 2015, did not pass in 2015, but passed in 2016 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Mains) 2018. Candidates must have taken at least five subjects in class 12th/any other qualifying examination in order to be eligible for writing JEE (Mains).

CAT is an exam for post-graduation. And, JEE you give for under graduation. After JEE, you will be an engineer and after CAT, you will be a manager. So, you can be a manager after becoming an engineer. What will make more money depends on your potential. MBA will definitely give a hike in a job you will be doing after engineering. So, my advice will be, you first concentrate on JEE to become an engineer, then decide, if you want to go for MBA or M.Tech.

Hi Buddy
Look, CAT is not about study more. Its about how much you manage yourself during exam. The only part which may be difficult for many people is VARC. LRDi is not difficult as it looks. If you attempt 2 set correct of LRDI means 8 question, you will be above 88percentile if you attempt 12 question Correct in LRDI section you will be landing above 98 percentile. Quants section is what you need little practice. Quants for CAT is not that difficult. You should know only basics of every chapter. You can easily score above 85 in quants. So, best is give at least 4 mock test in a week so that you know which part you can improve on. <... View more
