Sorry, but all NIT admissions close down to at maximum All India rank of 60000 for freshers batch. Rest rankings are for assuring students, their seats in JEE Advanced. Also, for any NIT, the minimum rank required for CS/IT is 15000 all India. Kindly go for state government autonomous institutes with home state quotas or private universities.
Best of luck.

Simple but significant,

There is no such thing as 'better' in this case. It depends on your career plans and whether you enjoy working more with hardware or software. They both lead to lucrative and secure jobs, so which one is better will always depend on your plans.

College Selection Expert,

LPU is costlier than compared to Parul University so if you want to do B.Tech at that time LPU takes lot of money as you are late you go to Parul University.

Alumni at LPU Jalandhar,

Dear Jasmine, Yes, it is worth pursuing computer Science engineering from LPU. Many of my national and international friends did B.Tech and M.Tech at LPU and are working in different reputed MNCs such as Amazon, Cognizant, etc. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good at LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good pla... View more

Perhaps worth joining. If you want a college that has a culture, a bit of studies, and your priority is placement, KIIT is the place to be. If you want to pursue engineering seriously, actually study for exams, publish papers, go for higher studies etc. , KIIT ain't the place for you.

Hard worker , learner .,

For most of the colleges, the tuition fee is around Rs. 3 to 4 lakh for 4 years. While, if we talk about mess and hostel so, hostel fee lies at around Rs. 60,000 per annum.
Tuition fee also includes bus facility.
But, it depends which college you choose. Fee varies from college to college and university to university.

Dear aspirant, Nice to meet you. According to me the best for you would be to go for a job. Usually, if you have pursued your B.Tech from a good college you will be campus placed or you can check the company portals and apply for jobs as BTechs are getting good packages from MNCs these days. If you want to enter academics then go for M.Tech and then Ph.D. If you could not get a good job after college, then you can always go for higher education and increase your chances of a job. But it is generally seen that very few people are interested in higher education as investing in higher education yields long-term benefits. Many universities con... View more

Hey Suyash,
Cutoff depends on the quality of students applying for admission, so no predictions would work.
Every year trends:-
CSE: 57k-60k (sector 62), 70k-95k(sector 128)
So visit campus once to assure this.
Thanks.

Hi Ansh, I would like to let you know that many colleges and universities have their eligibility criteria as the students should have PCM as their main subject in their 10+2. As per the eligibility and qualification criteria of B.Tech courses it is a bit difficult for you to apply for this course in any of the government college. But, some of the private colleges may offer this course to PCB students but that too at a very high cost, like LPU (Lovely Professional University) allows PCB students to pursue B.Tech in computer Science despite mathematics not being your main subject in 10+2. But, you have to appear in the entrance exam conducte... View more

Educationist & Counselor,

Though most of the students are being attracted colleges in NCR, if you see the fee structure, each has very high compared to other states private engineering colleges & private universities as fees are not being monitored by the concerned states or agencies. However, if you see Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Southern states, & Rajasthan the fee is controlled by the concerned states, but it causes the restrictions on hiring good teachers who demand a high salary, so the academic environment is very poor in these states. Well in my opinion, Lovely Professional University is good in all the aspects. LPU is the best private university to go for B.Tech, it is one of the top 5 universities of India, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international.
