B.Com Honors will lead to many options like m.com, MBA, CA, Actuarial, marketing, HR, etc. If you are keen in writing, journalism, teaching, interpreter, editing careers then go for English (Honors). All central and state universities offer these courses.
In an Honors program, you are subjected to in depth knowledge at that too at a faster pace. You would become a subject matter expert after studying honors. On the other hand prof. program will prepare you better for a job.
