The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) course itself is a well-recognized course, irrespective of where you pursue it. Which option is better depends on your requirements. For example, completing a CMA course in India will take approximately three years. However, you can complete this course in nine months from the United States.
1. Affordability: In India, the CMA course is more affordable and costs around Rs. 50,000 rather than in the US, which costs up to one lakh rupees.
2. Recognition: The CMA Certificate issued by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) is recognized only in India. But the CMA Certificate, issued... View more

Hi,
There are plenty of professional courses available for you to choose from. For commerce students, one of the easiest things to do B.Com followed by M.Com and then maybe Ph.D. or to become a professor. There's also an option to go for CA CS CMA and at times LL.B. Then there are other course too like CFA actuary, FRM etc. With B.Com you can, in the time being, go for various certification courses conducted by many institutions across the country. If you want to go for MBA, you can start preparing for CAT. You can also enhance your skills by learning computer or English language to make yourself market ready. These can be done in addi... ACCA is recognised globally in over 100 countries. It gives quite a good exposure of IFRS and US GAAP hence becomes important in today’s India as well. Though, the scope of ACCA in India is still limited to metro cities, it is slowly and gradually catching up to become a popular course in the commerce field.
There are good opportunities for ACCA in Big Fours and large multinationals but, I am afraid to say that most of the other organisations struggle to acknowledge ACCA (mainly due to lack of awareness). With the adoption of IFRS in recent past, the scope of ACCA has increased, yet limited to above mentioned organisations in India. ... View more
