It is a 10 percent chance to get admission there, but don't wait. Just take admission wherever you are getting the seats. Just apply for it. And, you can also wait for some time to check the merit list.

Yes, one can opt for branch change in second year based on his/her score in first year but in the same college only. First year is common for all branches, transfer to another branch is not a problem. You can change the branch in any college but also check the college norms.

College selection expert,

Hello Abhiraj,
Well, that solely depends on your interest, both are top branches of engineering, however, in the past few years demand of CSE graduates had increased drastically creating more job opportunities, so if you are doing engineering for better job opportunities and wider exposure then CSE might be the best find for you.
All the best.

Simple but significant,

You may find yourself comparing computer information systems vs computer science. While the two degrees do overlap, computer Science programs generally give students a more thorough and complex knowledge of the design of computers and computational processes.

Hi Divya,
I have been to COMEDK counselling last year and I had a rank of 900. I can tell you about the first round and you can roughly estimate for further rounds. So yes, in first round you should have an under 1500 rank for Ramaiah CSE because CSE is a good branch. I had taken RVCE electronics in the first round as I didn't sit for the second round.

I wonder with scores you will be able to fetch a decent college or university. I would advise you to take up a second chance and look with universities that take up their own entrance exams. You need not to worry at all, JEE is not just the final destination it is just the pathway. You can have a look over other options to get into engineering. You made me recall my days, I too had almost similar situation. I have done my engineering from Lovely Professional University. Have a look over Lovely Professional University. First of all, make your mind whether you're going to pursue CSE or ECE because the most important decision is choice of the branch. If you are good in coding then go for CSE in MIT else go for ECE in VIT.
